Why you need extended car warranty cover for your BMW

Extended warranties act like insurance policies for vehicles. They act as a safeguard against expensive, unforeseen repairs. Similar to auto warranties, extended warranty plans also cover repairs and/or regular maintenance for a certain time period. Since they are sold separately and cost extra, extended warranty plans are considered as service contracts.

You can purchase an extended car warranty cover at the time you buy your BMW or any other premium car. You can also purchase it much further along in the ownership period. This type of plan is the perfect option for auto owners who wish to be prepared for all eventualities. These plans make a lot of sense considering the rise in cost of vehicle repairs.

Most car dealers will be giving you a bumper to bumper warranty that will be covering a new vehicle for at least three years. From the vehicle’s front and back bumpers to the engine, everything is covered under bumper to bumper warranty for BMW or other premium cars.  This means that even if the engine quits or there is oil leakage, you can get the car repaired at no cost. Dealers also sell the extended warranty along with the bumper to bumper warranty at an extra cost. This warranty covers the vehicle for at least two more years.

If you are choosing an extended warranty plan, you need to ensure that it is covering the same components as the original bumper to bumper plan. You will also come across the powertrain warranty which gives an illusion of complete coverage for a decade. But this type of warranty plan only covers components that are least likely to break, such as the driveshaft, engine and transmission. So be careful in selecting the best protection plan for your car.
